What is a credit blacklist?
Some people believe that there is a “credit blacklist,” a list of people that lenders will not lend to. This is not true. A credit report simple lists all of your credit accounts along with a payment history. While it’s true that missing payments, paying late, filing bankruptcy, and other negative credit items may prompt a lender to deny you a loan, that is up to the individual lender. There is no master “list” of people that may not be extended credit.
